Find wholeness. Find peace.

Therapy for Individuals

Sometimes we lose our way.

Sometimes it’s something big that happens. Sometimes it’s much slower—we wake up one day and realize that life doesn’t look the way we imagined. It could be a relationship that isn’t working, a habit we’ve picked up and want to break, or anxiety and low self-esteem closing in. Whatever is going on right now, there is hope. You can find yourself again.

Therapy for Relationship Struggles

One of the loneliest places to be is in a relationship that isn’t quite working. It could be a romantic relationship or a relationship with a friend or family member. When we work on relationships in individual therapy, we often":

  • Discern if the relationship is healthy.

  • Learn assertive communication skills to clearly ask for your needs to be pet and break free of passive or passive-aggressive communication.

  • Learn to deal with someone else’s aggressive, passive, or passive-aggressive communication.

  • Heal from an abusive relationship and learn to trust again.

  • Work through past relationships or divorce.

  • Address self sabotage in relationships or understand why you are drawn to a certain “type” that may or may not be good for you.

  • And much more!

Therapy for Anxiety

It can feel like a pounding in your chest, shortness of breath, and tension in your muscles. It can leave you paralyzed and unable to move forward or keep you spinning in circles that take you nowhere. It can look like perfectionism or procrastination, or wear one of its many other hats. It can feel like an overwhelming sense of dread of doing or saying the wrong thing. However anxiety is impacting your life, it isn’t easy and it isn’t fun, and no matter how many people ask if you can just calm down or take it easy, you can’t or it just comes creeping back. No matter how impossible it feels, anxiety does not have to have a permanent place in your life. We can work to understand where it comes from and what it is trying to do for you, understand how it impacts you physically, and break free from its hold!

Therapy for Addiction/ Addictive Behaviors

It could be something you do—shopping, gaming, watching TV. Or it could be a substance—alcohol, drugs, tobacco. Whatever it is, it’s something that you used to feel in control of but now you’re not so sure. It probably started as a way to relax or to manage feelings of stress, anger, or sadness, but now it feels out of control. You’re ready to make changes but maybe it feels impossible or you don’t know where to start. Or maybe you’ve already started but are afraid of relapse. Wherever you are in this journey, a thriving you who is not dependent on substances or behaviors that are not serving you is within reach! Counseling can help you to identify triggers, identify what keeps you going back to the behavior or substance, and how to stop, freeing you to live your life on your own terms.

Therapy for Trauma

Trauma can look like a big event that shook your worldview and experience of life and continues to haunt you. It can look like several smaller events that happened over a longer period of time (this is called complex trauma). Either way, it still lives in your awareness, impacting how you see the world and this around you. It also impacts your body, causing flashbacks, physical tension and other symptoms. Trauma directly impacts your brain structure, but the good news is that through therapy, we can work to rewire your brain. Trauma can feel like you’ve lost yourself. Through processing what happened to you and helping you to work with your mind and body together to overcome it, you can find yourself again.

Therapy for a happier you.

The ball is in your court. You can find a happier, healthier, more whole you. Whether you’re grappling with one of the struggles listed above, a combination of them, or something else, there is hope, and you don’t have to face it alone.
